Game Of Thrones

After many failed attempts, by several friends, at convincing me to watch Game of Thrones, I finally gave in. Many shows on my current list have either ended in the last 2 months or going to end in the next 4 so I said, why not, I’ll add one to the list. I started watching about a week ago, have just started season 2 and I have to admit, it is pretty good. I can see why people like it so much. Like Lord Of The Rings and Harry Potter, Game Of Thrones is a world of its own. It is intricate and takes a genius to write such a great and detailed story. I find myself actually trying to keep up with what’s going on and who’s who. It’s like the Real Housewives for people who actually want some substance in what they are watching. Plenty of drama, violence, sex, cussing and all the attributes of a compelling and addicting show.

I do enjoy it very much and am now undoubtedly hooked on Game of Thrones but, it is still not my favorite show. Personally, I prefer more realistic shows of current time or with less fantasy at least. Shows that “pump me up” and get me excited, rather than on the edge of my seat only to be upset that yet another of my favored characters has been killed off. But maybe that is exactly what attracts so many people, the fact that nothing is certain and that anything can happen.
