There are two places I have in mind for where I’d like to live . . . Austin, Texas and Los Angeles, California. Now, I’ve been to LA and I do like it but I’ve heard some pretty negative comments about the place, so I still hold my doubts. Austin, however, I have not yet been to and although I hear great things about the city, I just have to experience it for myself. A buddy of mine has been going there for the last 2 or 3 years to a sort of seminar called Masters in Motion. You can check it out here and get some more info about it. Last year I told him I would not be able to accompany him as I was already traveling to LA and would not have the funds nor time for it but, I promised him that I would make it out this year. Fast forward to about a year later and here we are. Flights purchased, hotel booked, we are ready.
I’m quite excited to check out this place. I’ll only be there for about 5 days and hopefully that’s enough to get a feel for the place. I’ve already taken down some notes on some places to check out and obviously this will all depend on whether I end up at the seminar or not. But if I don’t, I will have a lot of free time to roam the city. Wish me luck.
